My Favourite Paddles

Recent years have seen a number of books published along the lines of "1000 Places to See Before You Die" or "500 Places to See Before They Disappear". In addition there have been some excellent sea kayaking guides published but these have focused on particular area, for example South West England or the Northern Isles of Scotland.

What we are interested in producing is a list of 500 paddles which are a cross section of the best possible throughout the world. To decide on the 500, and this is obviously a rather unscientific process, we would like as many kayakers as possible to submit their 20 favourite day trips and we will collate them over the next few months. The more sea kayakers who submit their favourite paddles the better and we welcome submissions from throughout the world.

So please send us your 20 paddles and encourage all your paddling friends etc to send theirs in. Hopefully we will generate a comprehensive list of paddles which will provide guidance on where to kayak when you visit different areas of the world

Many thanks to all those people who have submitted their favourite paddles over the summer but there is still time to send yours in if you haven't done so far.  Don't worry if you are unable to identify 20 different paddles just submit those that you want to, even if it is only a couple.
