A Big Fish

Many of us enjoy dropping a line in the wate whilst we are out paddling and seeing if we can catch a free meal. The best I have ever achieved is a few mackeral, although they did taste good. I must admit to being envious when I have watched paddlers on sit on tops return to the shore with a load of bass. Sit on top paddlers appear to have taken kayak fishing to a new level.

A range of books and DVD's are appearing on the market and whilsy Heliconia Press were filming for a new kayak fishing film Howard McKim caught a 300 pound Marlin which ended up towing him for 11 miles in the 5 hours that he took to land the fish.

It is possible to read the whole story on the Heliconia Press website.
