Sea Kayaking Bibliography
This is an attempt to produce as comprehensive a list as possible of books which have been published about sea kayaking in the last 150 years. Clearly there will be a number of omissions, so any additions would be greatly appreciated. There appears to be a healthy publishing industry on both sides of the Atlantic, with a number of new titles coming onto the market each year, reflecting the growing popularity of the sport.
We have also included a number of general paddling books which contain chapters on sea kayaking as they tend to reflect the changes that have occured over the last century in terms of equipment and attitudes. A number of books on polar exploration have also been included in they have a kayaking interest, although it should be acknowledge that in no way does this list claim to reflect the richness of Arctic literature.
It always surprises people just how many books have been published on sea kayaking, so take a look at the list and start collecting. The list isn't quite yet finished but is being added to on a regular basis.
