Lighthouses

There is something about lighthouses which excites most sea kayakers. Their shape, location, characterisics, history etc have long fascinated both sea farers and those people who like to experience the sea from a land based perspective. If there is any doubt about this consider how many calendars, books, post cards and small models are sold each year, throughout the world. The aim of these galleries is to produce a comprehensive pictorial record of as many lighthouses as possible. Ideally they should have been photographed from a kayak, but we are willing to make exceptions.

Initially we are launching the Breton lighthouses gallery but this will be quickly followed by the Scottish gallery and and then one for those further afield.
