On Water Repair

Carrying out an emergency repair on a holed boat on moving water is not the easiest of things to do! This is just an exercise on a recent training session. The paddler in the blue kayak is maintaining position by using a tow and the repair is being carried out with the rescued paddler sitting astride the rescuing kayak. All of the rescuers during this session managed to get their tape to stick very firmly to the hulls of the 'holed' kayaks. The paddle float proved to be an invaluable aid (above) to maintain balance.

Does anyone else have any other quick solutions?
